KDM have strong links with the Merchant / Importer sector, having well established supply lines in Scandinavia, Germany and the Baltic States.

Merchant / Importer Supply from Scandinavia & Germany

KDM import directly and wholesale from Scandinavia and Germany’s largest sawmill groups, Kiln Dried Pine and Spruce in Joinery & Planing qualities plus large volumes of good VI quality (Kiln Dried, Heat treated C56/30 to ISPM15).  

Our friends at the private, family-owned sawmills with whom we have traded many, many years and who we look to support wherever possible, produce more bespoke products for us. Please ask us for any planed profile – we can most likely source it in full or mixed loads. 

Planed, regularised & profiled products would include C24 Carcassing, C16 CLS, Scant, Decking, Shiplap/PTGVJ1S/Loglap and Framing, as well as Slatings/Battens. 

TR26, Bracing, Noggin and Wallplate sections for the Roof truss sector regularly available and in good volumes. 

KDM charter their own vessel each month for a full cargo of mixed products from Germany, shipping to our Rochester stock yard – KD goods stored under shed. 

Many of these products can be supplied either from landed stock or on a forward/to arrive basis in full loads shipped breakbulk to Rochester, Hull, Immingham, Inverness and many other UK ports or delivered direct from the sawmill by trailer to the customer upon arrival. 

Merchant / Importer Supply from the Baltic States

KDM import Sawn, planed & profiled products from the Baltic States. 

Main items from the Baltic States for the Merchant/Importer Sector are Fencing materials such as Machine Rounds, Cundys, Featheredge, Waney-edged boards, Posts, Rails, Battens and kickboards as well as Green Pressure treated Slatings.  

Kiln dried C16/24 Sawn & Planed Carcassing and CLS also available.
